MERCEDES BACK ON TOP??

AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2026 photo credit: formula1.com THE MERCEDES IS A LITERAL ROCKET! The Mercedes team start off the season with a front row lockout and a 1-2 finish. They were 8 tenths ahead of the Red Bull of Isack Hadjar in P3 while qualifying. Even in the race, they had so much pace that even after the huge tyre delta that Ferrari had, they still went on to win the race without breaking a sweat, George finishing P1 and Kimi in P2. It just confirms the power advantage that everyone suspected they had during testing. This year might be Mercedes' year with George's first WDC as predicted by many. As for Ferrari, they had the best start out of all teams on the grid. Leclerc rocketed into the lead with his start and Hamilton in P3, even after starting from P4 and P7. Again a testing theory which proved to be correct. Leclerc and Russell had an amazing battle in the opening stages of the race, with Hamilton and Antonelli also joining it until it was ruined by the virtual sa...

LANDO'S FIRST!

ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX 2025 photo credit: formula1.com LANDO NORRIS IS A WORLD CHAMPION! Lando Norris secures his first world championship from Max Verstappen by two points and by holding off the attack from Leclerc for P3. What a season he has had with 408 points, 7 wins, 7 poles and 18 podium finishes. Just a deserved champion, even though he and McLaren have had their off days through the season, they rise victorious to take the drivers championship home.  As for Oscar he drops behind Max in the championship due to him finishing P2 in this race. In all, P3 in the final drivers championship. As for Max, well he gave it his all to make a comeback and close in on the much faster McLaren car but it just was not enough and anyways as Max had rightly said the McLaren team let him close in, the car itself was not fast enough to close in except for the last 3 rounds. In all, a season he will take lots of learning from. As for the constructors, Mercedes beat out both Red Bull and Fe...

ANOTHER ONE FOR MAX!

QATAR GRAND PRIX 2025 photo credit: redbullracing.com Max wins another one. The Red Bull just did not have the pace of the McLarens yet they won due to the risky gamble of McLaren that did not play out as they predicted. Max pitting under the safety car with others basically awarded him win the win. Yuki finally scored a single point finishing in 10th. McLaren regardless of knowing when Max was going to pit due to the 25 lap limit, still could not win. The cars were faster than the Red Bull but just not enough to make the deficit they had to Max due to not pitting under the safety car. Just horrible strategy by them to start 1-2 but finish 2 and 4. As for Williams, just a sublime race with Carlos finishing in P3, holding off Norris' attack till the end.  Just amazing driving skills portrayed by him. As for Albon he finished just out of the points in P11. Mercedes again better than Ferrari and finishing in P5 and P6, a good race for them. Ferrari were just dreadfully slow wit...

MAX MAKING THE COMEBACK?

LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX 2025 photo credit: formula1.com Max lead the race comfortably from start to end with bare minimum challenge from any car after he took the lead from Lando in turn 1 after he out braked himself going deep. Just sensational driving with minimal effort. On the other hand, as always his teammate out of the points.  As for McLaren, a terrible day, with both cars getting disqualified due to excess under-plank wear. Regardless of that it was not a good effort with Norris in P2 and Piastri in P4, especially after Norris starting on pole position.  Mercedes, got the maximum points they could do McLaren retiring and Mercedes being just able to keep up with them throughout the race and even in the start George passing Norris for P2. Sublime pace from Mercedes, well ahead of their main rival, Ferrari.  As for Ferrari, not where they would want to be with P4 and P8, losing further more points compared to their rivals for the constructors, Mercedes and Red B...

Norris' Comeback

BRAZILIAN GRAND PRIX 2025 photo credit: sportsnet.com Lando is back!! He drove an utterly dominant race while making no mistakes and finished 10 seconds in front of his next rival in P2 and miles ahead of his teammate Oscar Piastri who is even his championship rival. On the other hand, Oscar Piastri seems to have lost his pace since summer break with Max and Lando having made a comeback and homing in points on him race after race. Overall, a decent result for McLaren as a team. A brilliant week for young Kimi Antonelli to finish P2 in the sprint and the race, a marvel of a drive. He did not put a foot wrong and fended off the likes of Max Verstappen. On the other hand, his teammate George Russell finished P4, a very strong result which fortifies his P4 in the driver championship. One of the better weekends for Mercedes where they were there with the pace of McLaren and ready to challenge the title rivals in this case.  For Red Bull as a team, well again it was just Max perfo...

Is It Lando's Year?

MEXICAN GRAND PRIX 2025 photo credit: bbc.com Will Lando win this year? Lando has made THE statement. He won by the largest winning margin of this season. He won by OVER HALF A MINUTE. It was just utter domination from start to end. He is showing why he should be the number one driver at that team. On the other hand, his teammate and main championship rival Oscar Piastri could only finish P5 and could not overtake the likes of Oliver Bearman. Overall, a good race for Lando but not so for his teammate. For McLaren as a team it is a good result but for them to handle their drivers is a more important task than anything else currently as they have won the constructor's championship.  For Red Bull, well they did the most they could, especially with Max. They offset the strategy to others and got P3 in the end, damage limitation. As always, Yuki was out of the points but this time just with him finishing P11. In the end, not a weekend Red Bull should be having considering if they...
