Is It Lando's Year?

MEXICAN GRAND PRIX 2025 photo credit: bbc.com Will Lando win this year? Lando has made THE statement. He won by the largest winning margin of this season. He won by OVER HALF A MINUTE. It was just utter domination from start to end. He is showing why he should be the number one driver at that team. On the other hand, his teammate and main championship rival Oscar Piastri could only finish P5 and could not overtake the likes of Oliver Bearman. Overall, a good race for Lando but not so for his teammate. For McLaren as a team it is a good result but for them to handle their drivers is a more important task than anything else currently as they have won the constructor's championship.  For Red Bull, well they did the most they could, especially with Max. They offset the strategy to others and got P3 in the end, damage limitation. As always, Yuki was out of the points but this time just with him finishing P11. In the end, not a weekend Red Bull should be having considering if they...

The T-REX

UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX(AUSTIN) 2025 photo credit: formula1.com MAX IS ON THE HUNT! Max has now scored as many points as both McLaren's combined since the summer break. He is dominating the field since he has come back from the summer break and did so again in Austin with him leading the race from start to end. He is a dominant force currently and is only 40 points behind the championship leader, Oscar Piastri now. Similarly, for the first time in a long time Yuki Tsunoda seems to have hit the ground running with him finally scoring points in the race with him finishing P7. Overall, a good weekend for Red Bull where they scored some solid points.  As for McLaren, even though they have won the constructor's championship, they are no where near of being assured that they will win the driver's championship with either of their driver. They could only manage P2 and P5 at best and did not even looker much quicker than a Ferrari. Lando barely got the P2 in the end when he made a...

RUSSELL DOMINANCE!!

SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX 2025 photo credit: sportsnet.ca George Russell Dominance!! George Russell dominated the race from start to end and no one even looked to be close to him throughout the whole race. Just utter dominance to finish 5 seconds ahead of Max Verstappen. The Mercedes just seems to be fast at Singapore and produce unexpected performances. The team as a whole somehow found performance out of nowhere. This was evident even by Kimi Antonelli who finished P5 in the race behind the McLarens. He like his teammate displayed brilliant race craft with him making a super risky but a masterclass of a move on Charles Leclerc. Over all this was one of Mercedes' best races after Canada. Next on to McLaren... they just seem to have lost all the pace they had before the summer break, yes they won the world championship this race but it was all on the laurels of the races before the summer break. They have been in shambles since the summer break, having no pace at all. To aggravate thi...

THE FLYING DUTCHMAN!

AZERBAIJAN GRAND PRIX 2025 photo credit:reuters.com TWO IN A ROW! After the summer break Max has just looked unstoppable and dominant! This time he wins in Baku with a 15 second lead over George Russell in P2. Max has just been best of the rest since the summer break. Even after a tricky qualifying where most of the drivers of the top 4 teams couldn't even make the first 3 rows make was on pole, dominating. He led the race from start to end and was not even challenged by a single person for the whole duration of the race. Just an unstoppable, dominant drive by him.  Similarly, after so long his teammate Yuki Tsunoda was able to score points in a race. Yuki finished P6 in the race which was much needed for him and the team as he was second to last in the driver's championship and had not scored any points since the Dutch grand prix. Overall, it was a terrific weekend for Red Bull in which they looked utterly dominant. It was reminiscent of their 20 23 F1 season. Mercedes pull...

MIGHTY MAX!

ITALIAN GRAND PRIX 2025 photo credit: formula1.com THE DUTCHMAN DOMINATED! AND McLAREN HAD NO ANSWER AT ALL! At the start of the race Max had to give the lead to Lando due to him cutting the turn 1 chicane but within a few laps time Max took the race lead back and never saw back. He dominated from start to end and continually increased his lead lap by lap and Mclaren just did not have the pace to ever catch up to him. He won with ease and took the whole grid by storm with the sudden pace he got over the McLarens. Well for the McLaren team they just did not get the result they expected. They got outpaced by Max and had no strategy, not even the softs in the end to catch up to Max. On top of that the pit stop mayhem during Lando's pit stop caught up more attention. Oscar was given the first pit stop on the condition that Lando will retain P2 and Oscar will be able to cover off Leclerc but the 6 second pit stop for Lando caused the positions to invert after the pits which due to whi...

TWO ENDS OF A COIN!!

DUTCH GRAND PRIX 2025 photo credit: reuters.com Oscar wins...but Lando did not even finish!! Oscar secured his 7th win of the season by winning in Zandvoort. At the same time, his main rival for the championship, his teammate Lando Norris did not finish the race due to a mechanical failure in the closing stages of the race. Both had been close throughout the race with Lando being within 2 seconds throughout the whole race but in the end all in vain as he even lost the 18 points he would have got for P2. Now, Oscar has a 34 point championship lead which seems quite the impossible task for Lando considering both the drivers have the same car and are at top form in this season.  At the end of the day, McLaren will be happy that they are still the car to beat and are at top form as a team and with their drivers but will like to review where they went wrong with Lando.  The next big talking point of the race was Ferrari and their miseries. It was Ferrari's worst race of the ...
